Issues on genetic engineering
there are many issues on genetic engineering because of ethical and social reasons
some of these topics of wonder are...
- Creation of new life forms
- Crossing animals boundries
- Long term effects on human health
- The health of the enviroment
- Blending of non-human and human DNA
- unintended cultural, personal and social issues
Maybe genetic engineering isn't the best idea after all!!!

applications of genetic engineering
In 1982, the first genetically engineered medicine came out in the USA, synthetic human insulin, was approved by United State Food and Drug Assoication.
another aplication of early genetic engineering was to create human growth hormones as a replacement for drugs (hhhmmmm).

the history
genetic engineering had its orgins in the late 1960s in many experiments with bacteria, viruses and plasmids.
a very key discovery was made by a swiss microbiologist named Werner Arber, who in 1968 discovered restricted enzymes, these are naturally occuring enzymes cut DNA into fragments during replication.

dangers of genetic engineering (da da daaaaa)
a major problem to genetic engineering is that introducing new genetic tools can cause either a intentionally malicious or white plauge, resulting in a massive loss of death, terrorism would take a new toll in countries around the world, with these white plauges and chimeras(think super-anthrax or super influenza, resistant to any antibiotic.

What is genetic engineering?????
genetic engineering is a techique used by a scientist(s) to change the DNA of living organisms.
Biologist have recently discovered enzyms that alter the genetic makeup of organisms, some of the enzyms can cut into then attach themselves to the DNA strand. Now scientists have learned to cut specific genes from the DNA strands and design customized DNA using these genes.
The major problem has occured from these customized DNA strands, Vectors, vectors are strnds of DNA such like viruses, these infiltrate the cell and insert themselves into the DNA.
